Comment; Babesiosis is not widely seen, certainly not widely recognized, but remains an important component of the differential diagnosis of fever of unknown origin (FUO). Tick-borne illnesses in general have many complex presentations, often complicated life cycles, frequent false-negative diagnostic testing and can be difficult to treat. It’s good to have intermittent reviews of state of the art & epidemiology.
